Objective

To redesign the listing page format for Crexi with the goal of modernizing the property's landing page and improving user engagement. The focus was on enhancing the visual design and usability to encourage users to take key "buying actions," such as messaging the agent or downloading the property's marketing packet.

What we've done

1. Competitive analysis

2. User interviews

3. User research

4. UI design

5. Prototyping

Creative Process

1. Conducted a comprehensive competitive analysis of industry leaders such as Zillow, Redfin, and LoopNet to identify best practices and differentiation opportunities.

2. Engaged with users—both agents and investors—to gather qualitative insights, understanding their needs, pain points, and behaviors.

3. Focused on Crexi's branding and design system to ensure consistency while addressing user requirements.

4. Created a design experience that aligned the team on a cohesive implementation strategy, balancing user needs with business goals.

Results

The redesigned listing page format was successfully implemented and is currently live on the Crexi website. The new design modernizes the look and feel of property landing pages, creating a more engaging and user-friendly experience. It effectively encourages users to take key actions, such as messaging agents and downloading property marketing packets, driving higher engagement and supporting business goals.

Conclusion

The redesigned listing page format proved to be a significant success and is now utilized in both the Auction and Lease experiences on the Crexi website. This expansion showcases the flexibility and effectiveness of the new design in accommodating different user needs. A key takeaway from this project was the importance of deeply understanding and considering the diverse needs of all personas involved. By recognizing how these needs intersect with their professional tasks and personal goals, we were able to create a more inclusive and effective experience that aligns with both user and business objectives. Moving forward, this project reinforces the value of empathetic design and collaboration in driving impactful outcomes.
